is the section of the Khoja Shia Jamaat of Dar es Salaam, which caters for the spiritual needs of the community at large, including the children, youths, and elders.
Husayni Madrasah has a total of 1,200 students in both the Boys and Girls Sections. The students are taught a wide range of topics, including Fiqh, Islamic History and Ahklaq, among others. There are a total of 110 teachers and 15 support staff. The Madrasah also organises for regular Teacher Training Programs, to ensure that the teachers are able to give maximum benefit to the students.
MAZ is a great boon by the Almighty to the Community at large.Maz opened its doors in the year 2007 with approximately 80 students offering full time courses from Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 12:00.MAZ is now running in its 10th year offering a variety of courses to the ladies on modular basis as per the interest of the community.
Madrasah al-Sadiq (Town Branch) actively operates from Mondays – Thursdays from 3:00p.m to 5:30p.m and is headed by Zehra bai Dhalla with the assistance of Sabira bai Jaffer. The children are given training in Qur’an hifdh as well as open Qur’an recitation by qualified maalims and teachers. Facilities have also been arranged to conduct various Qur’an activities for the younger children.
Madrasatul Sadiq was formed at the beginning of last year to provide a separate Quran-dedicated madrasah that will assist in improving the recitation and hifdh of our children. There are 7 Quran teachers who are available from 2pm to 5pm- 4 times a week. These services are provided free of charge to all students.
